On May 5th, Cognition labs hosted a hackathon at Stanford University for CS students to have a sneak peak of Devin, the AI software engineer.
You might ask, what is Devin? It's an AI software agent that can make entire applications from start to end and even research documentation just like a human.
A group of students asked Devin to create a memecoin. From there, Devin took complete control, independently managing everything without any further human input.
Devin accessed pump.fun, created the memecoin, set up a Twitter handle, and even started posting. Devin wasn’t just the inspiration—it became the sole developer behind $Devin.
WHAT'S SCOTT WU?
Devin named the memecoin’s ticker $DEVIN and called it SCOTT WU, after Scott Wu, the founder of Cognition's AI.
In doing so, Devin created the first true AI memecoin—completely developed by AI, without any human assistance. A memecoin made entirely by AI, for the first time ever.
